It all started with a random scroll on Twitter. I saw a picture of some friends working together, and it got me thinking: why can’t we do the same here?
So, I dropped the idea in our group chat. Everyone was immediately interested. The only problem? My place was way too small to host us all. That meant we had to find somewhere else to make it happen. After a bit of back and forth, we settled on a coworking space, and just like that, the plan was set.
On July 26, 2025, we had our very first BoldeShift coworking meetup.
There were about seven of us:
Designers – myself, Michael, Derrick, and Franklina
Content & Marketing – Ivy
Engineering – Seyram
Everyone came with something to work on. Ivy shared her idea, and we all jumped in to brainstorm: how the user experience could look, how it could be built, and the directions it could go. Seyram added dev insights, Derrick came in with more questions and ideas, and it turned into a proper collaboration session.
We didn’t just work. We captured the moments too. Short videos of everyone’s projects, shared online for others to see what we were up to
The energy that day was something else. People left with clearer ideas, real progress on their projects, and the same request: we should do more of this.
And that’s exactly the plan. From here, we’re looking at making coworking a quarterly/monthly thing—a simple way to bring doers together, focus on our own work, but also share, collaborate, and push each other forward.
That’s what BoldeShift is about. Not just talking, but actually building—together. And this was just the first step.
